Despite still being infuriated by Maggie, his hapless best-friend and bit-part actor of little repute, and Darren, his stupendously useless agent, Andy Millman has finally made the move from background artist to TV face with a lead role in a new sitcom. Is it really the big breakthrough he always dreamed about though? He's trying to make a classy sitcom that will stand the test of time. The BBC has different ideas, being more interested in silly wigs and chasing ratings. It's time for Andy to take a stand. What started as something personal and truthful becomes an embarrassment as big glasses and curly wigs suddenly become the height of comedic wit, and Andy's integrity is on the line. Does he bite his tongue and carry on regardless or jump ship and go back to being a lowly extra?
